What makes Los Angeles Rams star Cooper Kupp such a special receiver is not just his on the field production, but his leadership and humility off it.

Named one of the Rams’ team captains for the second consecutive season, Kupp helped keep the team together during its rough patches and carried the team offensively throughout the playoffs. Trailing in the fourth quarter of Super Bowl LVI, Kupp delivered when the team needed him most by making several catches on their final offensive drive which ended with him catching the game-winning touchdown. For his efforts, Kupp was named Super Bowl MVP, capping off his historic season.

While Kupp could do no wrong during the 2021 season, he did somehow manage to leave an NFL legend hanging as the NFL revealed he had accidentally left Peyton Manning on read, via their Instagram account:

Kupp owned up to his mistake with a funny retort on his Twitter account:

On the road to becoming the NFL star that he is, Kupp attended the Manning Passing Academy for five years as a camper and counselor. Both Peyton and Eli Manning realized quickly how good Kupp was as they often fought over who would get to throw to him on his routes.

It is high praise to have Super Bowl champion quarterbacks fight over you, and Kupp seemed to take those lessons and run with them given how much success he has had at the professional level. However, it is hilarious to think that the wideout never bothered to ask who was texting him photos from camp.

With a championship under his resume, Kupp has cemented himself as one of the premier receivers and it will be interesting to see how he builds upon his success next season.
