The NFL announced the players who made it to the 2021-22 Pro Bowl and the Los Angeles Rams will be represented by wide receiver Cooper Kupp, defensive tackle Aaron Donald, cornerback Jalen Ramsey and kicker Matt Gay.

All four of these players are having outstanding seasons and were no-brainer Pro Bowl selections. The Rams had some other players that were worthy but didn’t quite make it as well as quarterback Matthew Stafford, offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, center Brian Allen and outside linebacker Leonard Floyd were selected as alternates.

That means they could potentially still play in the game if other players at their position decline the invitation, although the Rams themselves are hoping not to be there as well if they make the Super Bowl.

As far as the players who did make it though, both Kupp and Donald were among the first five players the NFL announced had made it.

Kupp is in the midst of a historic season as he is the wide receiver triple crown leader, hauling in a total of 122 receptions for 1,625 yards and 14 touchdowns in 14 games.

Donald is having another Defensive Player of the Year caliber of season, recording 66 total tackles, 11 sacks, 14 tackles for loss, 21 quarterback hits, four pass deflections and two forced fumbles on the year.

As dominant as Donald has been, there’s an argument to be made that Ramsey has been the Rams’ most important defensive player as he has lined up all over the field. In 13 games, Ramsey has 64 total tackles, eight tackles for loss, three interceptions and 13 passes defensed.

The Rams’ final Pro Bowl member, Gay, is having a career season at the kicker position as he has made 28-of-29 field-goal attempts and 40-of-41 extra points.

This year’s Pro Bowl is scheduled to be played at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas on Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022.
