The Los Angeles Rams addressed another hole, officially re-signing Malcolm Brown to a two-year contract after matching the Detroit Lions’ offer sheet.

The new deal for Brown figures to have ramifications for CJ Anderson, who thrived in his limited time with the Rams during the 2018 NFL season.

Essentially filling the void of Brown after he was sidelined with a clavicle injury, Anderson rushed for an impressive 299 yards with two touchdowns over the final two games of the regular season before adding another 189 yards on the ground in three playoff contests.

Now with a return to the Rams appearing unlikely, Anderson took to Twitter to express his desire to start again in the NFL:

Lol the disrespect is real guess It is what It is. It’s the same story over and over. All I ever wanted was a full opportunity to play 16. My 16 vs anybody else 16 with no front office / coach trying to move me out the way or play we like this guy game. Just want a 16 all I ask.

One can certainly understand Anderson’s frustrations with the free agency process thus far after he proved capable of being an effective running back for the Rams down the stretch.

The 28-year-old was said to be open to a potential return to Los Angeles, but he revealed during the first wave of the free agency period that an offer was never extended to him.

A Pro Bowler in 2014 and a one-time Super Bowl champion with the Denver Broncos, Anderson has rushed for 3,454 yards with 22 touchdowns over parts of six NFL seasons (69 games, 39 starts).
