The Los Angeles Rams recently acquired the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft from the Tennessee Titans with the assumption that they are going to take a quarterback, either Jared Goff or Carson Wentz, with that pick.
Nick Foles and Case Keenum split quarterback duties for the Rams in 2015, but neither played particularly well as the team finished 7-9 which leads to believe that they will select a quarterback.
Despite a top rookie presumably coming in, it appears the Rams are not banking on him to start right away, as Foles is still on the roster, and now so is Keenum.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Rams have re-signed Keenum, who was a restricted free agent, to a one-year contract:

As Rapaport pointed out, it is possible that Keenum is traded, although it seems unlikely.
Keenum played in six games for the Rams in 2015, starting in five of them. He completed 60.8 percent of his passes, throwing for 828 yards and four touchdowns while throwing just one interception, amounting to a 47.68 quarterback rating. The Rams were 3-2 in games he started.
In four NFL seasons Keenum has started 15 games, throwing for 3,023 yards, 15 touchdowns and nine interceptions.
He played at Houston University from 2006-11, setting the NCAA records in passing yardage (19,217) touchdowns (155).
