Los Angeles Rams running back Cam Akers has received an 81 overall rating in the popular video game Madden NFL 24. Madden released their official ratings this week with a top 100 list for each position.

An 81 rating makes Akers the 22nd-highest rated running back in the game. He is tied with Philadelphia Eagles back D’Andre Swift and Atlanta Falcons rookie Bijan Robinson. Akers is one of 28 running backs to have an overall rating of 80 or above.

Akers figures to be the featured back in the Rams system this season, giving him an opportunity to rise in the rankings as the season progresses. However, as the season begins, he is on the lower end of the rankings among Rams starters.

Cooper Kupp was given a 96 overall and is one of the top-rated wide receivers while Aaron Donald once again is a member of the 99 club, receiving a perfect rating by the Madden 24 game-makers for a record seventh time.

Some other featured running backs include Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns, getting the No. 1 overall rating with a 97. San Francisco 49ers all-purpose back Christian McCaffrey ranks No. 2 with a 96 overall, while Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III was given an 87.

The Arizona Cardinals have very little representation on the list, with James Conner (77) being their first appearance at the No. 40 slot among running backs.

As running backs throughout the league get more attention due to the contract situations of Saquon Barkley, Josh Jacobs and Tony Pollard, Madden 24 is still highly saturated with talented backs. There are four players (Chubb, McCaffrey, Barkley and Jonathan Taylor) with X-Factor abilities in the game and six players with a superstar tag.
