The Los Angeles Rams have outperformed expectations this season and a big reason of that has been the play of quarterback Matthew Stafford.

There were questions about Stafford’s health going into this season as he had a down year in 2022 due to elbow and neck issues. Stafford was limited just nine games of action.

The 35-year-old is healthy and has retuned to his Super Bowl form this year though, especially in recent weeks. In his last three games, Stafford has thrown for 802 yards and 10 touchdowns with only one interception.

More so than the stats, you can tell that Stafford is healthy by some of the ridiculously incredible throws he has been making.

Among those that he has impressed is Aaron Donald as he admitted that he’s still shocked by some of the throws his quarterback is able to make.

“He’s just looking like Matthew Stafford,” Donald said. “I think he’s playing good football right now, playing confident, looks like he’s having a lot of fun out there and it’s showing. He’s making some amazing throws, some things that still shock me to see. Just glad he’s on our side, on our team. Obviously, I’m confident any time we’ve got that guy out there, we’ve always got a chance to win.”

Donald and Stafford are both showing that they have a lot left in the tank, which not only bodes well for this season but the future of the Rams as well.

The Rams are set to have a ton of draft picks and cap space this offseason. With both Donald and Stafford continuing to play at a very high level, this team could be back in Super Bowl contention as soon as next season.

As far as this season goes though, the Rams are in the thick of the playoff mix so the upcoming games are extremely important. If the Rams are able to sneak in the postseason then the experience of guys like Stafford and Donald could lead to an upset.
