The resurgence of the Los Angeles Rams in the 2017 NFL season has undoubtedly been among the league’s most intriguing storylines. With such formidable unit, certain players were bound to shine. However, even the most optimistic Rams fan could not have predicted they would be so well-represented at this year’s Pro Bowl.

To no surprise, star defensive tackle Aaron Donald led the way early in voting for his position. However, he has since dropped behind Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox in the most recent polls, according to Rich Hammond of the Orange County Register

Although Cox is a dominant player in his own right, there is hardly a category in which he has outplayed Donald. For starters, the three-time Pro Bowler has recorded 32 tackles and eight sacks despite holding out of training camp and missing the first game of the year. Meanwhile, the Eagles’ stud has registered 17 tackles and 5.5 sacks up to this point.

That said, the recent uptick in votes is likely a result of the dedicated Eagles fan base that has made sure to cast their ballots. However, Donald could establish himself as the league’s premier defensive lineman once again by not only outperforming Cox but also getting the win over Philadelphia in Week 14.
