The Los Angeles Rams began their Super Bowl defense with a 31-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills at SoFi Stadium. The team fell below .500 for the first time in Sean McVay’s reign as head coach.
The Rams suffered multiple injuries in the season opener as Brian Allen hurt his knee and needs a procedure that could keep him sidelined for 2-4 weeks. Joseph Noteboom also strained his MCL and is considered day-to-day.
Promising rookie running back Kyren Williams also left Thursday’s game after sustaining a high-ankle sprain during the opening kickoff.
According to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athletic, Williams could miss 6-8 weeks while recovering from the injury as it requires surgery:

The Rams selected Williams out of Notre Dame in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and he impressed the coaching staff during training camp despite breaking his foot and needing surgery.
Williams could hypothetically return to the field in Week 8 against the San Francisco 49ers as the Rams will be coming off a bye.
L.A. will likely place the 22-year-old on injured reserve, which could mean more opportunities for Jake Funk behind Darrell Henderson Jr. and Cam Akers on the depth chart.
