The Los Angeles Rams have focused on upgrading several offensive positions at the start of NFL free agency, including wide receiver, which resulted in the signing of Davante Adams to a two-year contract.
Adams gives the team the big playmaker they were seeking to pair with Puka Nacua as one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL. L.A. also re-signed Tutu Atwell to a one-year contract after a solid 2024 season.
While the Rams have made additions to their wide receiver group, they are also expected to lose a few key contributors from the 2024 season as well.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, Rams free agent Demarcus Robinson is signing a two-year contract with the San Francisco 49ers:
The #49ers and WR Demarcus Robinson are in agreement on a 2 year deal worth $9.5M total with $6M fully guaranteed, per @KatzBrosSports.

Robinson began his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs after being selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He joined the Rams before the 2023 season following brief stints with the Las Vegas Raiders and Baltimore Ravens.
Robinson is coming off a career year that saw him serve as the Rams’ No. 3 wide receiver for most of the season. He took on a larger role at times when Nacua and Cooper Kupp were sidelined due to injury. Robinson started in all 17 games last season, catching 31 passes for 505 yards and a team-high seven receiving touchdowns. His 16.3 yards per reception also represented a career best.
The 30-year-old expressed a desire to return to the Rams but instead will continue his career with one of the team’s biggest rivals. Robinson should have a bigger role with the 49ers after the team traded Deebo Samuel to the Washington Commanders earlier this offseason.
Rams losses in free agency
Robinson is among four players from the 2024 Rams roster to find new homes since the start of NFL free agency.
Tight end Hunter Long signed a two-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, linebacker Michael Hoecht joined the Buffalo Bills on a three-year deal and defensive tackle Bobby Brown III inked a three-year contract with the Carolina Panthers.
