The Los Angeles Rams will look a lot different in 2023 after parting ways with a number of key veteran players that helped them win the Super Bowl just 13 months ago.

A number of those players are on defense as they released both Bobby Wagner and Leonard Floyd while trading Jalen Ramsey. Additionally, they lost another start in free agency with safety Nick Scott agreeing to a three-year contract with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The hits just keep on coming for the Rams as they will likely now lose another piece of their defense in A’Shawn Robinson. The defensive tackle has been a great run-stuffer for the Rams in recent years, projected to earn himself a nice payday in free agency.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Robinson will take a visit with the New York Giants this upcoming week:

Robinson would be a nice addition for the Giants, who already consider the interior defensive line to be one of the biggest strengths.

The Rams originally signed Robinson as an under-the=radar free agent from the Detroit Lions in 2020. In three seasons with the team, he had 121 total tackles, four tackles for loss and two sacks.

He may not be the only defensive tackle the Rams lose in free agency as Greg Gaines is also signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. L.A. would’ve liked to keep one of Robinson or Gaines but given their lack of cap space, it seems likely that both are playing elsewhere in 2023.

With that being the case, look for the Rams to target interior defensive linemen in the upcoming NFL Draft.
