The Los Angeles Rams announced on Tuesday that they have signed punter Brock Miller. Before fans get worried about Johnny Hekker, he is not hurt, it is just unlikely that he will play in the preseason, so the Rams are bringing in Miller to handle those duties.
Miller originally went undrafted in 2014 out of Southern Utah and he has yet to appear in an NFL game. He has mainly spent time on practice squads in the San Francisco 49ers and New York Giants organizations, although the Giants cut him this past January so he was looking for a new home.
Barring an injury from Hekker, Miller does not have a chance to make the Rams roster. He could potentially wind up on the practice squad though, and learning from one of the best punters the NFL has ever seen in Hekker is a good experience for a young punter.
Rams head coach Sean McVay spoke about bringing in Miller, who can also kick as well, via Myles Simmons of TheRams.com:

The Rams are set to open up the preseason on Saturday against the Oakland Raiders after a couple of joint practices in Napa beforehand.
As was the case last year, McVay has already said that it is unlikely any of his starters get into any preseason games to ensure that they are 100 percent healthy for the season opener.
