The Los Angeles Rams announced their 10-man practice squad on Sunday, and it includes quarterback John Wolford, running back John Kelly, tight end Kendall Blanton, offensive tackle Chandler Brewer, offensive guard Jeremiah Kolone, defensive back Donte Deayon, safety Jake Gervase, linebacker Dakota Allen, defensive end Landis Durham, defensive tackle Marquise Copeland

Wolford had a very strong preseason, but unfortunately, the Rams only kept two quarterbacks on their active roster and those spots went to Jared Goff and Blake Bortles.

The Rams lost a quarterback on waivers with Brandon Allen being claimed by the Denver Broncos, but Wolford was able to clear which allowed the Rams to keep him on their practice squad.

Kelly was drafted by the Rams in the sixth round in 2018 out of Tennessee. He received limited playing time in 2018 but considering the team’s current depth at running back after drafting Darrell Henderson and re-signing Malcolm Brown, there was not a roster spot for him this time around.

The other surprising practice squad addition was Allen, who was a seventh-round draft pick this year out of Texas Tech. He was beat out by undrafted free agent Natrez Patrick for the final linebacker roster spot but luckily, the Rams were able to keep Allen in the organization.

In what is usually uncharacteristic, the Rams stayed in-house for all of their 53-man roster and 10 practice squad spots. That is a testament to how much talent was in the organization during training camp and the preseason this year and how bright the future is for the Rams moving forward.
