USATSI_8039119_154224518_lowresAt one point in the season, Terrelle Pryor was the future face of the franchise and the Raiders had realistic playoff hopes. By losing a couple winnable games, Oakland is now 4-8 and Pryor has been replaced by rookie quarterback Matt McGloin. While it will be difficult for the Raiders to finish the season at 8-8, head coach Dennis Allen says this team is going to keep on competing and Pryor may get another opportunity.

With a considerable amount of cap space available this upcoming off-season, changes will be made. While there is uncertainty surrounding his own future, Allen says that this team has given everything they’ve got and there’s no reason for Oakland to give up the last four weeks of the season.

While Matt McGloin will remain the starter this week against the New York Jets, Allen says that Pryor hasn’t done anything to play himself out of being a starter and may get another opportunity. Although he is extremely talented, Pryor is still raw and needs to improve as a pocket passer. With four game remaining, the Raiders will go with McGloin who has shown great poise and is already an efficient passer.
