head coach Dennis Allen is taking this time to evaluate his young quarterbacks before the end of the season. While rookie quarterback Matt McGloin will continue to start, the team will keep their options open with Terrelle Pryor still in the mix. Both players have shown great potential, but McGloin seems to be the best choice moving forward for the Raiders. In four games, the rookie has thrown for 799 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions while continuing to show poise.
With McGloin starting against the Jets, there remains uncertainty surrounding Rashad Jennings. The starting running back suffered a concussion in the loss to the Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day. While Darren McFadden just came back from his own injury, Allen says that the running back is healthy enough to handle a full workload if Jennings is unavailable.
