Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams have gotten off to an exceptional start to the 2025 season.
The 37-year-old is having arguably the best season of his career, leading the league with 269.7 passing yards per game and 25 touchdowns with only two interceptions, leading the Rams to a 7-2 record.
One person who has taken notice of what Stafford and the Rams are doing is Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby as he shared high praise for them on SiriusXM’s “Let’s Go!” podcast:
“I think the Rams are gonna be in the NFC Championship game this year. I feel like Stafford knows like this is, he’s got a few more years left, maybe a couple years, two years, three years. And I feel like, for him, he really wants to solidify his legacy and wants to take this team to the end. And I feel like they got enough talent to do it. And I know Davante’s really motivated to get a ring. He hasn’t got one. They got a lot of young guys with a lot of talent. They got Puka [Nacua] there now. I just feel like overall they’re just really well coached and they got a great quarterback, so they’re gonna have a chance.”
Crosby is from Michigan so he grew up watching Stafford on the Detroit Lions. With the way the Rams’ quarterback is playing, Crosby believes he belongs in the MVP conversation:
“People were kind of sleeping on Stafford, like his name wasn’t coming up as much as we feel like it should have for the MVP race, and then he goes out and gets another win and four touchdown passes and doing his thing. It’s just, you know, they’re so well coached. They got a great quarterback. They got two number one receivers. They got a great running back. They got a bunch of young hungry dogs on defense. I think they’re just doing things the right way, and that’s why they’re always in the mix.”
There’s still a lot of football to be played, but it’s nice to see the Rams get recognized by someone like Crosby for the season they are having.
Rams expect Davante Adams to be ready in Week 11
Davante Adams hurt his oblique during the Rams’ Week 10 win over the 49ers. He likely would have been able to come back it had it not been a blowout though, and now after having a few days to recover, the expectation is that Adams will be ready to go for the big Week 11 matchup with the Seattle Seahawks.
