In Week 12, the winner between the Oakland Raiders and Tennessee Titans would receive a huge advantage as they would be tied for the final Wild Card spot in the AFC. While it was a slow first half, Ryan Fitzpatrick connected with Justin Hunter for a 54-yard touchdown to give the Titans the lead. Midway through the fourth quarter, the Raiders responded with Matt McGloin’s touchdown to Marcel Reece.
Unfortunately, it was not the winning drive as Fitzpatrick connected with Kendall Wright with 10 seconds remaining to lift the Titans, 23-19.
With their playoff hopes fading, it will be a short week of preparation as the Raiders face the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving Day at the AT&T Stadium. Heading into Week 13, the Raiders are 9.5-point underdogs according to Sportsbook.com.
After an incredible performance against the Houston Texans, rookie Matt McGloin showed some flaws as he couldn’t lead the Raiders to a much-needed victory at home. Despite Terrelle Pryor being completely healthy heading into this week’s matchup, head coach Dennis Allen said that McGloin will get his third straight start.
At this point in the season, both teams need a win for different reasons. The Raiders took a severe hit with the loss last week and are simply looking to get as many win as they can. On the other side, every game is crucial for the Cowboys as the Eagles and Giants are in the running for a division title.
