Your fantasy league isn’t only won on draft day, it’s won on those crucial days when you pick up that great waiver wire free agent before anyone else thinks of nabbing him. That’s why we here at Raiders Tribune will be helping you out and giving you the scoop on the best guys to pick up to turn your fantasy team into a championship contender.

Delanie Walker, TE, Tennessee Titans

Delanie-Walker-230x130Different quarterbacks favor different targets and it has become apparent in the two weeks since Ryan Fitzpatrick has become the starter in Tennessee that he trusts Delanie Walker. In the two games, Walker has totaled 14 catches on 18 targets, 153 yards and two touchdowns including career highs in catches and yards last week.

Very quietly, Walker has been a top-10 tight end this season. While many have been putting their faith in guys like Coby Fleener, Jermaine Gresham, and Kyle Rudolph, Walker has been right under your nose being one of the more consistent options in the league.

With upcoming matchups against less the less than stellar pass defenses of the Colts, Raiders, and Broncos, look forward for some more excellent lines from Walker.

Donald Brown, RB, Indianapolis Colts

Donald-Brown-230x130The Colts made waves when they traded for Trent Richardson earlier this year. The move was expected to solidify their running game, but it has been an old face who has stepped up for the Colts recently as Donald Brown has proven himself to be the most consistent runner on the team.

Last week Brown rushed for 80 yards on 14 carries and scored twice. He is also much more of a threat out of the backfield than Richardson. The Colts want to run the ball, and right now Brown is the best runner on the team. Brown could prove to be one of the better flex plays as long as he continues to have the trust of Colts coaching staff, and more importantly, Andrew Luck.

Doug Baldwin, WR, Seattle Seahawks

Doug-Baldwin-230x130Lost in the hoopla of Percy Harvin making his debut for the Seahawks, Doug Baldwin has been playing extremely well the last couple of weeks. Baldwin has had at least 60 yards the last three weeks and has scored in two of the past three games for the Seahawks.

The issue with the Seahawks is that they have a number of guys who Russell Wilson throws the ball to. Golden Tate, Jermaine Kearse, Zach Miller, and the returning Percy Harvin are all capable of seeing some targets. But despite the number of options, Baldwin seems to be emerging as a serious favorite of Wilson and that is worth an own in most standard leagues.
