Josh Gordon is undoubtedly one of the most talented wide receivers in the NFL today. He led the NFL in receiving yards despite missing the first two games of the season. Unfortunately for Gordon, he has been unable to stay out of trouble throughout his young career.

His latest issue came on Saturday when Gordon was arrested for a DWI in North Carolina, and it has his former teammate, and captain of the Cleveland Browns, D’Qwell Jackson, calling for help in Gordon’s life:

There seems to be legitimate concern for the well-being of Gordon, as there should be. Gordon is in line to be the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL once he is due for a new contract, but now he faces the risk of being released by the Browns.

This is the third issue for Gordon in the past 13 months. He was suspended for the first two games of last season after a failed drug test. Last month it was announced that Gordon could miss the entire 2014 season after a second failed drug test.

Now, with a DWI arrest only a month after the previous announcement, Gordon could be in line for a meeting with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell. The sports world is full of people with tons of talent who flamed out due to drug issues. Jackson is hoping that Gordon doesn’t add his name to that list.
