The Los Angeles Rams will travel to face the Philadelphia Eagles in a road matchup on Sunday, Jan. 19, at 12 p.m. PT, with NBC televising the contest as part of the NFL Divisional Round.

The Rams advanced after picking up a 27-9 win over the Minnesota Vikings in the Wild Card Round. The game was played at State Farm Stadium, the home field of the Arizona Cardinals, due to the ongoing wildfires in the Los Angeles region.

The Rams entered the matchup as 2.5-point underdogs but looked like the superior team from the start. L.A. scored a touchdown on their first drive of the game and forced two turnovers in the first half, including a 57-yard fumble return by Jared Verse.

The Rams took a commanding 24-3 lead into halftime and held the Vikings to just six points over the final two quarters. The defense came up big with nine sacks on former USC Trojans star Sam Darnold, who looked uncomfortable for most of the game.

L.A. will now shift its focus to the Eagles, who are coming off a 22-10 win over the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card Round. Jalen Hurts wasn’t his usual effective self, but the Eagles defense took control of the game by forcing four turnovers.

The Rams and Eagles last faced each other in Week 12, which saw Philadelphia earn a convincing 37-20 win over L.A. at SoFi Stadium.

Saquon Barkley had his best performance of the season with 255 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries. The Eagles defense also sacked Matthew Stafford five times, which prevented the Rams offense from finding any sort of a rhythm.

If the Rams want to advance to the NFC Championship Game, they will need to slow down Barkley and be able to contain Hurts’ dual-threat ability. L.A. must also be on top of their game against the No. 1 ranked defense in a hostile environment.
