The Los Angeles Rams have the look of a Super Bowl contender heading into the 2025 season as they looked sharp during preseason, winning two of their three games.
The Rams didn’t need to add too many pieces in free agency and the 2025 NFL Draft as they already had several key pieces at integral positions on the roster. The team is also getting healthy at the right time as both Matthew Stafford and Alaric Jackson are on track to play in Week 1, giving the offense the major pieces it needs to take off running.
Los Angeles has a great mix of veterans and young players on both sides of the ball, usually a sign of a strong playoff team. Young players like Puka Nacua and Jared Verse can lead the offense and defense, respectively, for years to come while veterans like Nate Landman and Stafford can provide the wisdom and experience a locker room needs.
Ahead of the regular season, Rams players voted for team captains and they were recently announced, via the Rams’ official X account:

Players voted for Rob Havenstein, Kyren Williams, Kobie Turner, Quentin Lake, Ethan Evans, Landman and Stafford for a total of seven captains. There are two more captains this year compared to 2024 when there are only five named.
This is Stafford’s fifth time serving as a captain having been voted every year since being traded by the Detroit Lions. The 2025 season will serve as Havenstein’s fourth year as a team captain while Turner and Lake will serve as captains for their second year in a row. Williams, Evans and Landman are first-time captains with Los Angeles.
Unlike last season, the captains represent each phase of the game now that Evans has been named a leader. Another interesting tidbit is Landman’s nomination despite this being his first year with the team, a testament to his voice in the locker room. He is expected to wear the green dot for the Rams’ defense.
Aside from their leadership capabilities, each player is a key part of their respective side of the field and make for perfect captains during the 2025 campaign. It’s a pivotal year for a Los Angeles squad looking to win another Super Bowl, so the pressure is on for the team and its leaders.
