Rams News: Eric Dickerson Says Jeff Fisher Is Not The Coach For This Team

The Los Angeles Rams have largely disappointed this season, as they are heading for what seems to be a losing season as with four games remaining they currently sit at 4-8.

The losing season would be the 10th consecutive losing season, as they went 8-8 in 2006. They have not had a winning season since 2003 when they went 12-4.

Fisher has been the head coach for the past five seasons, and has gone 31-44-1 in his tenure failing to reach the postseason in each season.

Despite having another poor record this season, Fisher recently received a two-year contract extension to remain the head coach of the team for at the very least next season.

The deal was criticized by many, including Rams Hall of Fame running back Eric Dickerson, who does not believe Fisher is the right coach for this team, via Shalise Manza Young of Yahoo! Sports:

“He’s not the coach for this football team. He’s had five years of this. I feel bad for all the Rams fans because I feel like I’m the Rams fans’ voice. I’m a fan like Vince (Ferragamo, the Fox 11 co-anchor and former Rams quarterback) is a fan, like (Hall of Fame right tackle) Jackie (Slater) is a fan, and I feel like we’re going in the wrong direction with the football team.”

Dickerson was recently involved in an incident with Fisher as after Dickerson criticized Fisher and the team for their poor play, Dickerson said that Fisher banned him from being on the sidelines at games.

Fisher was surprised by those Dickerson comments, as he remembered his conversation with the Rams legend differently.

Dickerson said he will not attend a Rams game as long as Fisher is the coach of the team though, so it looks like Dickerson won’t be seen at the Coliseum anytime soon.
