Despite being just 30 years of age and the youngest head coach in NFL history, Sean McVay immediately turned around the culture of the Los Angeles Rams organization after being hired.
Now just a few years later, he is coaching in his second Super Bowl with the Rams, looking for his first championship.
While McVay is still just 36 years of age, there have been some recent rumblings about his future as a head coach as he discussed being burned out and wanting to start a family in the near future in the lead-up to Super Bowl LVI against the Cincinnati Bengals.
McVay’s comments led some people to believe that he may resign from the Rams if they win the Super Bowl to pursue a career in broadcasting, where networks would fight for him and he wouldn’t have to have so much time committed to his profession as he begins to start his family after getting married this summer.
While McVay surely won’t coach forever, this won’t be his last season though as he confirmed to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport that he is committed to the Rams beyond this season:

In fact, Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that McVay should be in line for an extension regardless of the result of this Super Bowl:
Both Super-Bowl head coaches, Sean McVay and Zac Taylor, both are in line for contract extensions this off-season, per league sources.
McVay has two more seasons left on his contract, Taylor is heading into the last season of his contract.

McVay is incredibly deserving of an extension as he continues to build his legacy as one of the best coaches in the league. Considering there is no salary cap for coaches, it’s likely that Stan Kroenke makes McVay the highest-paid coach in NFL history this offseason.
Even if he signs an extension though, one thing that has become clear is that McVay’s days with the Rams may be numbered, so hopefully they can win this Super Bowl and perhaps a couple of more before he moves on to his next chapter.
