The Los Angeles Rams are rolling right now as they destroyed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in every facet in Week 12 to improve to 9-2 on the season, which is the best record in the NFC.
Davante Adams had another strong game for the Rams, hauling in five receptions for 62 yards and two more touchdowns. Adams leads the league with 12 touchdowns in 11 games, including nine in his last five games.
He came to the Rams as a free agent in order to compete for his first Super Bowl and so far it has been a match made in heaven. After the win over the Buccaneers, Adams talked about how much fun he is having this season, via the Rams’ official X account:
“Most importantly, I’m having the most fun playing that I’ve ever had. Real grateful for the opportunity to play for a team like this… It’s hard to put your finger exactly on what makes you feel like that, but it’s just one of those things where we just have a lot of fun together. Everybody, you could see from the celebrations to the intense moments out there, it’s just one of those things where we just find a way to really enjoy, Sean (McVay) is always talking about being totally and completely present, and that’s really what we are. Nobody’s thinking about the third quarter, nobody’s thinking about the end of the game. It’s more about just enjoying where our feet are and going out and playing the biggest team sport that there is together and coming out obviously on top in a lot of these games, that helps the feeling a lot as well.”
The last few years were tough for Adams as he was on teams that weren’t built to win. That probably makes playing on this Rams team that much sweeter as not only is he producing at a level at age 32, but he has a legitimate chance to reach his first Super Bowl.
Adding Adams to the mix made all the sense in the world for the Rams on paper as he gave them the red zone threat they had been missing. Things don’t always work out as well as planned though, which makes what Adams has been able to do that much more impressive.
Matthew Stafford appreciated MVP chants from Rams fans
Part of the reason why Davante Adams is having such a strong season is he has Matthew Stafford throwing the ball to him. Stafford has been playing at an unreal level and received some MVP chants from Rams fans as a result, which he appreciated.
