The Los Angeles Rams are set to get back some key reinforcements for their Wild Card playoff game against the Carolina Panthers as wide receiver Davante Adams is returning after missing the last three weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Adams proved to be a good addition to the Rams this season as he caught 60 passes for 789 yards and an NFL-best 14 touchdowns in only 14 games.

For Adams, it’s his first trip back to the playoffs since the 2021 season when he still played for the Green Bay Packers. The veteran has been in the league for 12 years but is still looking to play in his first Super Bowl.

Now healthy again, Adams is looking forward to helping the Rams accomplish their goals, via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com:

“It feels great (to be back),” Adams said. “I mean, it feels like it’s been a year since I’ve been out there. It’s only been less than a month now, but it’s exciting. Excited to be back, for sure.”

Adams initially wasn’t pleased how the Rams took a cautious approach with him but understands why they did it:

“I was just talking about this with ‘Q’ (safety Quentin Lake) the other day,” Adams said Tuesday when asked about the mental challenge of the last couple of weeks. “How to manage the first few days is always like, feeling sorry for yourself. And then you realize, especially me being in a position I’m in, guys are looking at me for leadership and direction still in the midst of me dealing with and battling injuries. So, still gotta be there for them, being strong for the team, being present and just finding a way to still include myself into things and be helpful.”

Adams has not only impacted the Rams with his excellent play on the field, but he is also one of the team’s leaders and a key voice in the locker room.

The 33-year-old’s absence was felt as the Rams went just 1-2 without him but now he will look to help them get off to a good start in the playoffs.

Rams’ Matthew Stafford named NFC Offensive Player of the Week

The NFL announced that Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his Week 18 performance against the Arizona Cardinals.

In the Rams’ 37-20 victory, Stafford completed 25 of 40 pass attempts for 259 yards and four touchdowns with no turnovers. With the Rams trailing late in the third quarter, he led three straight touchdown drives to turn it into an easy victory and clinch the No. 5 seed in the NFC playoffs. The game also moved Stafford to seventh on the NFL’s all-time career passing touchdowns list and sixth on the NFL’s all-time career completions list.
