Kaepernick has an abundance of shoes and an even more impressive hat collection and he chose to wear a Miami Dolphins hat. In his eyes this was a fashion statement, to 49er fans, this was definitely not appreciated.
Friday Kaepernick was given the same type of treatment as Chargers’ wide receiver Keenan Allen did when he was caught wearing an Oakland Raiders hat.
Kaepernick had some words for his critics on Instagram when the news broke.
“This the hat y’all mad at? I’m goin wear what I want regardless of what you think.” All you need to worry about is the fact that I grind for my teammates and the 49ers! I plan on doin this until they won’t let me in the building! #ridiculous #y’allmustbebored”
Fans can say what they want but think about it, the Dolphins are in no way a rival of the 49ers and Kaepernick should not be criticized for wearing a hat. It is just a hat it means literally nothing. Kaepernick just took the 49ers to the Super Bowl, get off his back fans and let him what he wants. It’s not like he is showing Dolphin pride. Good for Kaepernick for sticking up for himself and not letting the fans get to him.
