The ‘Skins throwback jerseys are a deep burgundy with gold numbers and letters with a white outline. The pants are gold to match the type and there is a Redskins logo patch on the shoulders to make up for the lack of the logo on the helmet — which is the most interesting part of their jerseys today.
The Redskins decided to take things all the way back and paint their helmets in a way that they resembled the texture of the leather helmets of yesteryear, and they actually look pretty good.
The Steelers might have beat the ‘Skins on the field last week, but I’m sure Washington would take their throwbacks over those bumble bee uniforms anyway.
