BREAKING: Adrian Peterson Banned From Team Activities

Even in the late night hours, big news continues to come from the NFL. The Minnesota Vikings have been under extreme criticism this week ever since they decided to re-instate running back Adrian Peterson. It appears the pressure has finally paid off.

The Vikings announced that they are placing Peterson on the Exempt/Commissioner’s Permission List according to Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer:

This move is something that is rarely used, and according to Grantland’s Bill Barnwell, means Peterson must can not participate in any team activities:

This is just more fuel on the NFL fire. The league has come under harsh fire from fans and sponsors for their handling of both this issue, as well as the Ray Rice domestic violence saga.

Radisson had already suspended its sponsorship of the Vikings in the wake of this case, while Anheuser-Busch recently released a statement claiming disappointment over the NFL in its actions of discipline during these recent problems.

After de-activating Peterson on prior to Sunday’s game, the Vikings reinstated him on Monday and all signs pointed to him playing in Week 3, but now, not only is it unknown when Peterson will return, but he may never play another game in Minnesota again.
