Los Angeles Rams Pro Bowler Aaron Donald is a competitive person. Whether on or off the field, the defensive tackle takes great pleasure in winning. Although the Rams are on a bye week, Donald still found a cause to get competitive over, as he participated in a Madden charity tournament against other NFL players.
Besides the obvious bragging rights, the victor of the entire tournament was able to win $51,000 for the charity of their choice. Donald was playing for the Make-A-Wish foundation, which provides opportunities for children who are facing their own health battles.
In Donald’s premiere game, he faced off against Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill. Fortunately for Tannehill, the pair has never faced off in the NFL, except for a preseason contest during the 2014 season.
The event was held at a Microsoft store in Century City, California, with a game of Madden ’17 on a big screen between the Rams and Dolphins. When the final horn sounded, Donald emerged victorious, with a 44-19 beat down over Tannehill.
Donald now moves on to face the victor of Carolina Panthers’ Greg Olsen and Denver Broncos’ Von Miller. The competition will be held on each Tuesday for the next six weeks, at various Microsoft store locations around the country.

Donald stated he was glad his Madden skills were able to shine, as his defense anchored many stops that led to offensive touchdowns. The defensive player threw five touchdown passes to speedster Tavon Austin, with them all coming from quarterback Case Keenum.
The Rams current bye week allowed the opportunity for Donald to have fun, but the third-year player also wants to relish his off days with his family. Upon putting in continual work as the NFL’s best defensive tackle, he wants to have as much time as possible with his family.
