Aaron Donald Believed Rams Were Best Team In NFL Despite Three-Game Losing Skid In November

Even though the Los Angeles Rams are going to play in Super Bowl LVI, there was a time where it was hard to see them advancing this far after a rough November where they dropped three consecutive games.

The Rams started off the 2021 season well by reeling off a 7-1 record, but the wheels seemingly fell off after bad losses to the Tennessee Titans, San Francisco 49ers, and Green Bay Packers in November. Turnovers were the primary culprit as Matthew Stafford had issues with interceptions, but defensively Los Angeles fell short against quality competition.

Despite the in-season struggle, Aaron Donald revealed he and the team never stopped believing in themselves via NFL:

“When we lost them games this year, I think guys wasn’t too worried. Ain’t nobody really…obviously you want to win every single game. We went through that little spell where we lost a few games back to back. We wasn’t happy, but we just kept working. I think that’s a real credit to the leaders we got on this team with the coaches we got, so guys just stayed locked in and that confidence we got in ourselves that we were still the best team in the league in our heads. That’s how we felt and we just had to show that. Throughout a season, there’s a lot of ups there’s a lot of downs. That’s a part of football and just gotta stay on course and keep working and then from there you do enough you’ll be here and that’s where we’re at. That’s credit to the leaders we got.”

Even in the face of adversity, the Rams have proven time and time again that they do not waver and lose confidence in themselves. Los Angeles ultimately bounced back by going undefeated in the month of December and reaffirmed their status as a legitimate title contender.

At this point, the only thing missing from Donald’s resume is a Super Bowl championship so he is primed to put on his best performance when Super Bowl LVI finally kicks off.
