By now, it is no secret the Los Angeles Rams have had more trouble finding the end zone than just about every other team in the NFL. Many hoped inserting Jared Goff into the starting lineup would help to provide a spark to this dull offense, but it was largely the same as Los Angeles failed to score more than one touchdown for the fourth straight week.
Despite the Rams ranking dead last in the league in scoring, head coach Jeff Fisher does not intend to change the play-calling duties currently held by offensive coordinator Rob Boras according to Gary Klein of the Los Angeles Times:
“Not given it any consideration,” Fisher said. “I have confidence in Rob and the offense has confidence in Rob. And the offense knows they’re not doing what they should be doing.”
The Week 10 loss to the Miami Dolphins is the fourth game this season which the Rams lost by either a touchdown or a field goal. With the offensive line still struggling, Los Angeles has not gotten much of anything going on the ground or through the air.
With the addition of a rookie quarterback, a slight downtick in passing yards was to be expected. However, with the exception of Todd Gurley’s first run over 20 yards on the season, the line has still been unable to get any kind of push up front.
Los Angeles will need to find a way to conjure up points soon as they prepare to take on the most high-powered offenses in the league in the coming weeks.
