The Los Angeles Rams announced that they have signed 17 players to their initial practice squad for the 2026 season: safety Nick Andersen, wide receiver Alex Bachman (veteran), offensive lineman, Austin Blaske, punter Jack Bouwmeester (international), running back Dean Connors, cornerback Nyzier Fourqurean, offensive lineman Blake Hance (veteran), safety Tanner Ingle, defensive tackle Tim Keenan III, cornerback Cam Lampkin, defensive lineman Larrell Murchison (veteran), inside linebacker Elias Neal, defensive lineman Bill Norton, outside linebacker Darryl Peterson III, wide receiver Brennan Presley, tight end Dan Villari and running back Jordan Waters.

All 17 players were cut by the Rams on Sunday, so they did not make any outside additions. That shows how much confidence the team has in their training camp group as they easily could have looked elsewhere to address some needs.

One of the most notable names returning to the Rams is Connors, who scored three touchdowns during the preseason after going undrafted. L.A. already has a loaded running back room, so there wasn’t a spot for him on the active roster. However, he will still get a chance to continue developing with the team.

Also back with the Rams is Keenan, who was selected by the team in the seventh round of the 2026 NFL Draft. L.A. notably kept international punter Jack Bouwmeester as well, which allows them to carry 17 players instead of 16 on the practice squad.

NFL teams can elevate two players to their active roster each week. Practice squad players can be promoted three times each before needing to be signed to a team’s active roster.

Considering injuries can pop up at any time, the value of practice squad players has increased in recent years in the NFL, and it would not be a surprise to see a number of these guys contributing for the Rams on Sundays at one point or another during the 2026 season.
