The Los Angeles Rams signed offensive lineman Keagen Trost and wide receiver CJ Daniels to the standard four-year rookie contracts.

Trost was selected in the third round of the 2026 NFL Draft out of the University of Missouri and brings versatility up front as he can play just about anywhere on the offensive line.

Trost appears set to be the Rams’ next swing tackle that develops behind the scenes. With Rob Havenstein’s retirement, Warren McClendon Jr. is set to take over at right tackle and Trost can cross-train along the offensive line.

Daniels, who played in this year’s national championship game with the University of Miami, is coming off a season that saw him catch 50 passes for 557 yards and seven touchdowns in 13 games.

Daniels adds depth to a loaded Rams wide receiver room that includes Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, Jordan Whittington, Konata Mumpfield and Xavier Smith, among others.

With Trost and Daniels now signed, the Rams have only three remaining 2026 draft picks to work out deals with in quarterback Ty Simpson (first round), tight end Max Klare (second round) and defensive tackle Tim Keenan III (seventh round).

Matthew Stafford welcomed Ty Simpson to Rams with funny text

The Rams believe they found their quarterback of the future after selecting Simpson with the 13th overall pick in this year’s draft.

The 23-year-old is not expected to make much of an impact for the Rams this season with Matthew Stafford still playing at a high level.

Simpson said he received a welcome text from Stafford, who teased him about playing his college ball with the Crimson Tide.

Stafford’s friendly banter with Simpson is another sign that the 38-year-old did not mind the Rams drafting his potential long-term successor at quarterback.

L.A. reportedly gave Stafford a heads-up about the pick, which helped ease any potential tension that may have arisen after the draft.

Simpson now finds himself in an outstanding situation, getting to learn from Stafford and head coach Sean McVay before taking the reins as Rams starting quarterback someday.
