The 2026 NFLPA Rookie Premiere is taking place in Los Angeles this week, which is an annual event that connects the most marketable rookies to some of the league’s biggest financial partners.

Los Angeles Rams’ draft picks Ty Simpson and Max Klare will be among the 42 players in attendance, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter:

Simpson is a natural choice for the event as he gained a ton of exposure as one of the nation’s top quarterbacks at the University of Alabama last season.

As the 13th overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, Simpson should have plenty of lucrative opportunities as the Rams’ quarterback of the future and playing in the L.A. market.

Klare was taken in the second round by the Rams, but also got a lot of national attention last season playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Klare will be part of a loaded tight end room that includes Colby Parkinson, Tyler Higbee and Terrance Ferguson.

Jared Verse believes Ty Simpson will thrive with Rams

Jared Verse recently discussed the Rams’ decision to draft Simpson and believes he will thrive under head coach Sean McVay, who is good at getting the most out of quarterbacks.

“He’s got Sean (McVay) and he’s in the perfect situation. He gets to come in and he gets to learn from Matthew, a first-ballot Hall of Famer, MVP, Super Bowl champion. You can see how he plays and how he attacks the game. I think he’s in the perfect position.”

Verse thinks Simpson can be a dual-threat quarterback due to his ability to run the ball and make pinpoint passes.

“He can run the ball, get through all that good stuff that all these quarterbacks in the league usually can do. The way he’s accurate, the way he’s able to have confidence in the throws he makes, the things that he does — he’s confident in his abilities. That’s just a credit to the hard work that he puts in.”

Verse stopped short of comparing Simpson to other quarterbacks and said he is unique in his own way:

“He’s kind of got his own style. You can always compare this guy to that guy, but I think he’s got his own little style — the way he moves, the way he does things.”
