The Los Angeles Rams have added tight end Terrance Ferguson to their injury report with a hamstring injury. He will be listed as doubtful to play against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 18.

It’s unclear how serious the injury is, but considering the Rams have already clinched a playoff spot and are only fighting for seeding in Week 18, it makes sense to be cautious with Ferguson. The hope is that with a week off, he will be ready to go in Wild Card Weekend when the Rams hit the road for their first round playoff matchup.

Ferguson was the Rams’ top draft pick in 2025 out of Oregon and after a slow start to his rookie season, he has really come on in recent weeks. Overall in 14 games for the Rams, Ferguson has 11 receptions for 231 yards and three touchdowns. A majority of that production has come in the last two games as Ferguson has scored in each of them while hauling in five catches for 87 yards.

Sean McVay and the Rams have made it a point to get their tight ends more involved this season, running three tight end sets more than any other team in the league.

The reason for that is the team has four quality options at the position with Ferguson, Colby Parkinson, Davis Allen and Tyler Higbee.

Rams activate Tyler Higbee from injured reserve

Speaking of Higbee, the Rams announced they have activated him from injured reserve ahead of their Week 18 matchup with the Cardinals. He had missed the last six games with an ankle injury but returns just in time to close out the regular season and get ready for the playoffs.

With Higbee back in the lineup, the Rams can continuing running 13 personnel sets even though Ferguson will likely be out.

Regardless, the goal is to make it out of Week 18 healthy and get ready for a postseason run.
