The Los Angeles Rams defeated the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, but it came at a cost as wide receiver Davante Adams exited the game in the second half with what was initially deemed a back injury.

It was later clarified that Adams injured his side/oblique. He was listed as questionable to return but ultimately didn’t play again after being removed.

Adams still finished with a team-high six receptions for 77 yards and one touchdown in the Rams’ 42-26 win over the 49ers. He has been a big part of the team’s success this season and they would hate to lose him for an extended period of time.

Fortunately for the Rams, head coach Sean McVay revealed that Adams is expected to suit up for a huge matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11, via Stu Jackson of TheRams.com:

Rams head coach Sean McVay said wide receiver Davante Adams (oblique) won’t practice Wednesday, but he expects Adams to play Sunday against the Seahawks (1:05 p.m. PT, FOX).

“He’s making good progress,” McVay said, also noting that Adams participated in Wednesday’s walkthrough prior to practice.

“That’s what he tells me (that he expects to play). He’s feeling good, and so I trust the man. He’ll be ready.”

The Rams will need all hands on deck for their game against the Seahawks and it’s looking likely that Adams is going to be available.

The 32-year-old has caught 42 passes for 568 yards and a league-leading nine touchdowns through the first 10 weeks of the season.

Adams’ contributions go beyond those numbers as he has helped several of the Rams’ younger wide receivers make strides as well.

Adams will now look to extend his streak of catching a touchdown to four games against the Seahawks. If the Rams win on Sunday, take will take sole possession of first place in the NFC West.

Harrison Mevis will remain Rams’ starting kicker against Seahawks

The Los Angeles Rams made a change at kicker for their game against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 10 as they swapped out Joshua Karty for Harrison Mevis.

Mevis did not attempt any field goals in the win, but made all six of his extra point tries.

After a perfect Rams and NFL debut, head coach Sean McVay said that Mevis will again be the starting kicker for their matchup against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 11, although the organization isn’t giving up on Karty jus yet either.
