The Los Angeles Rams announced that they have signed 16 players to their practice squad: OL A.J. Arcuri, OL Wyatt Bowles, WR Tru Edwards, CB A.J. Green (veteran), DT Jack Heflin, S Tanner Ingle, CB Cam Lampkin, OL Dylan McMahon,, OLB Jamil Muhammad, ILB Elias Neal, DT Bill Norton, WR Brennan Presley, RB Ronnie Rivers (veteran), RB Cody Schrader, S Nate Valcarcel and TE Mark Redman

Teams are allowed to carry 16 players on their practice squad, which means the Rams’ is full.

Perhaps the most notable thing about this group of players is that all 16 were already in the Rams organization before being waived when they got the roster down to 53 players. That shows how much confidence the Rams have in their training camp group as they easily could have gone outside the organization to address some needs, even on the practice squad.

This Rams roster is perhaps the deepest they’ve had in a while as four of their players that got waived were picked up by other teams, which is the most in the league. Charles Woods wound up with the New England Patriots while Willie Lampkin was claimed by the Philadelphia Eagles, Derion Kendrick by the Seattle Seahawks and Brennan Jackson by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The most surprising cut by the Rams may have been Pooh Paul Jr., although he went unclaimed on waivers. Despite that though, he is notably not on L.A.’s practice squad, instead choosing to sign with the Seahawks’ practice squad.

As far as the Rams’ group goes though, there is a lot of talent and experience. Arcuri and Ingle have both spent multiple years on the Rams practice squad, while Rivers and Schrader are two running backs that were on the team last year.

Players like Edwards, Lampkin, Muhammad and Presley all had really impressive preseasons, so the Rams have to be happy to keep all of those young talents in the organization to continue with their development.

Considering injuries can pop up at any time, the value of practice squad players has increased in recent years in the NFL, and it would not be a surprise to see a number of these guys contributing for the Rams on Sundays at one point or another during the 2025 season.

Rams trade KT Leveston to Browns

One other player that didn’t make the Rams’ roster was offensive lineman KT Leveston, who was drafted by the team in the seventh round last year. Instead of just cutting him though, the Rams found a trade partner, sending Leveston to the Cleveland Browns for a late-round pick.
