The Los Angeles Rams have met with several quarterback prospects ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, including Alabama signal-caller Jalen Milroe.
In two seasons with the Crimson Tide, Milroe threw for 5,678 yards, 39 touchdowns and 17 interceptions in 26 games. He also ran for 1,257 yards and added 32 touchdowns as one of the best rushing quarterbacks in the country over that span.
Milroe detailed his visit with the Rams and believes he left them impressed, via DJ Siddiqi of CardPlayer.com:
“I just met with the Rams,” Milroe details. “Great meeting with them. No matter what team it is, it is so important just to talk ball with them, get an understanding of how I view X’s and O’s and the process of it is big. The meeting went well. Every one of them, I leave out, and they leave out so impressed with me.”
Milroe’s draft stock has been up and down due to some inconsistencies last season, but he thinks meeting teams in person can help them see things that aren’t on tape:
“It’s different from watching tape,” says Milroe. “To meet me in person and just be able to hear my process, hear everything as a whole, me as a player, my preparational phase that people miss, the intelligence I have. Every team I meet, they all leave impressed.”
Milroe’s dual-threat ability makes him one of the more intriguing quarterbacks in this year’s class. However, the consensus is that he will be selected somewhere in the first three rounds.
As the Rams consider taking a quarterback in the upcoming draft, they also met with Jaxson Dart of Ole Miss and are believed to have attended Quinn Ewers’ pro day at Texas.
Sean McVay: Rams ‘unlikely’ to select quarterback in 2025 NFL Draft
The Rams would ideally like to find the successor to Matthew Stafford sooner rather than later. However, head coach Sean McVay doesn’t think that will happen this year.
“I think that’s unlikely. I’ll be honest with you, I haven’t done a whole lot of work on the quarterbacks,” McVay said of the Rams potentially selecting a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft.
“I feel really good about where our quarterback room is, even though we’re not naive to the fact that Matthew’s hopefully got a couple more years that he wants to play, but he’s also earned the right to say ‘After this year, I’m going to go ahead and hang them up.’
“But I’m hopeful that’s not the case, but I haven’t done enough work to really have an educated opinion on that. That’s not something I would see us going – but maybe not, huh?”
