Kobie Turner has established himself as one of the best nose tackles in the NFL since being selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the third round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
Along with his success on the field, the 25-year-old is a talented musician who made it to the final four of this season’s “The Masked Singer” — a singing competition in which celebrities face off against each other.
Turner’s ability to sing is more than just a hobby, and that was evident when he released his first official track titled “House of the Rising Sun” over the weekend.
The song is a rendition of the popular hit of the same name by The Animals.
In addition to YouTube, fans can listen to Turner’s song on all of the major streaming platforms.
The Wake Forest product put out the track while being in the midst of another impressive season. Through 15 games, he leads the Rams with seven sacks, 61 tackles, four passes defensed and one forced fumble.
Turner appeared in all 17 games for L.A. as a first-year player last year (four starts), notching nine sacks, 57 tackles and two passes defensed.
Turner’s efforts helped him finish third in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting. The Rams could have a player who wins the award this year as Jared Verse and Braden Fiske received votes from several NFL general managers in a recent survey.
Sean McVay: Being first in NFC West ‘doesn’t change anything’ for Rams
The Rams entered their Week 16 game against the New York Jets in the driver’s seat for a trip to the playoffs as they held a half game lead over the Seattle Seahawks for first place in the NFC West.
“It doesn’t change anything that we’ve talked about for the last handful of weeks,” Rams head coach Sean McVay said.
“Unless the season ended today, it’s all just temporary. We have to continue to be one day at a time, one moment at a time, and one game at a time like what we’ve been. I think it’s a testament to the group to be able to handle some of the things that they’ve handled over the last few weeks, but all of it is not relevant unless we continue to do something about it. The only thing that we can do is have a great week of preparation against a very challenging opponent who we have tremendous respect for.”
