The 2023 NFL season ended up being a successful one for the Los Angeles Rams because they beat their widespread preseason expectations and wound up in the playoffs.

After the Rams overhauled their roster to rebalance their cap sheet, most penciled in the team for a tough year. It was hard to blame pundits because Los Angeles was betting on several rookies and young players to step into starting roles and contribute immediately.

The gamble paid off as the Rams quickly discovered how much talent they hand on their hands and now project to be one of the better teams come the 2024 season. Head coach Sean McVay is likely already figuring out how he wants to attack next season and he’ll be angling to make his triumphant return to the top of the standings.

In the meantime, McVay and Rams players Matthew Stafford, Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua decided to take in another sporting event this past week when they were in Las Vegas to watch Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz, via Mike Davis of Fox:

McVay can be seen sitting with Stafford, Kupp and Nacua, the core pillars of his offensive scheme. The crew seem to be enjoying watching Nadal and Alcaraz up close in Las Vegas, an opportunity some fans could only dream of.

The match was setup by Netflix in their endeavor to bring more live sports to the platform and the event should be considered a success considering they had high-profile celebrities and Rams personnel on sight. Alcaraz would go on to beat Nadal, and it was a fun match between the past and present of Spanish tennis.

While it must’ve been fun for McVay and company to see two tennis greats go at it, the focus for them in the offseason will be to find ways to improve as a group. Barring bad injury luck, the Rams are set up for success next season.

Rams had interest in Mike Evans before he re-signed with Buccaneers

With a clean cap sheet and some money to spend, the Rams could make a splash signing in free agency. General manager Les Snead has never been afraid to pounce on a star player, and it sounds like he was angling for Mike Evans before the wideout re-signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
