The Los Angeles Rams are in the process of replacing multiple key members of their coaching staff who left for promotions with other teams this offseason.

There has been plenty of turnover on the offensive side as pass-game coordinator/quarterbacks coach Zac Robinson was hired to be the Atlanta Falcons’ offensive coordinator under head coach Raheem Morris.

Former Rams pass game specialist Jake Peetz also departed for the rival Seattle Seahawks to become their new pass game coordinator. L.A. has since filled the vacant role with former Iowa State offensive coordinator Nate Scheelhaase.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Rams are making another addition to their coaching staff in former Las Vegas Raiders tight ends coach Jerry Schuplinski, who will serve as a senior offensive assistant:

The #Rams are expected to hire Jerry Schuplinski as a senior offensive assistant, source said. He did excellent work developing Michael Mayer in the #Raiders TE room last season and has also coached QBs as well.

Schuplinski had been part of the Raiders coaching staff in each of the past two seasons, serving as a senior offensive assistant (2022) and tight ends coach (2023). He was instrumental in the development of Michael Mayer, who caught 27 passes for 302 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie last season.

Schuplinski began his professional coaching career in 2013 with the New England Patriots as an offensive assistant. He held that role until the 2016 season, when he was promoted to assistant quarterbacks coach.

After winning three Super Bowl championships in five years with the Patriots, Schuplinski joined the Miami Dolphins in 2019 as their assistant quarterbacks coach. The 46-year-old also served as the New York Giants quarterbacks coach from 2020-2021.

Rams hiring David Ragone as quarterbacks coach

The Rams filled another important position on their coaching staff with former Falcons offensive coordinator Dave Ragone, who is replacing Robinson as the quarterbacks coach.
