The Los Angeles Rams wide receiver corps is going to look vastly different than previous years.

While Cooper Kupp remains the clear-cut No. 1 option of the passing game, his supporting case is an open question mark. Van Jefferson provides some stability but the third-option in Sean McVay’s preferred 11 personnel grouping is up for grabs. Players like Tutu Atwell, Ben Skorownek Demarcus Robinson, Puka Nacua and Tyler Johnson will all by vying for that spot throughout training camp.

During the 2022 season, the Rams tried to reach an agreement with Odell Beckham Jr., who hit free agency following his stint with the team in 2021. Beckham unfortunately tore his ACL in Super Bowl LVI and spent the year recovering and waiting for the right offer.

The former star wideout eventually agreed to a deal with the Baltimore Ravens but he expressed how much McVay meant to him, via his X account:

Coach Mcvay, you changed my life forever man. Grateful I had that experience wit u, single handedly changed my life. Love and miss them boys over there , can’t wait to whooop u and coach Rah this year 😂😂😂😂😂

— Odell Beckham Jr (@obj) August 5, 2023

Beckham experienced a tumultuous tenure during his time with the Cleveland Browns, leading some to believe that he didn’t have it anymore as a player. However, that narrative changed almost as soon as he signed with Los Angeles, establishing himself as a reliable target for Matthew Stafford.

The veteran appeared in eight regular season games for the Rams, recording 27 receptions for 305 yards and five touchdowns. He nearly mirrored that production in the playoffs, hauling in 21 catches for 288 yards and two touchdowns. Beckham’s postseason numbers would’ve arguably looked better had he not gotten hurt in the first half of the Super Bowl.

While it’s unfortunate that Beckham and Los Angeles couldn’t agree on a new deal, it’s good to hear how much he enjoyed playing for the city and McVay. The two will face off in Week 14 and while it might be bittersweet, it’ll be good for Rams fans to see Beckham out on the field again.

Mike LaFleur says Cooper Kupp is day-to-day with hamstring injury

Kupp is already on the mend after suffering a hamstring injury in last Tuesday’s practice. While there were initial concerns that he would be sidelined for multiple weeks, Mike LaFleur said that he is considered day-to-day.

Soft tissue injuries are tricky to deal with, so it would not be surprising if the team ultimately decided to have Kupp sit out out the remainder of training camp.
