Leonard Floyd was one of many cap casualties for the Los Angeles Rams this offseason, as the team stripped down their costs and entered a rebuild that they hope will last just for the 2023 season. Floyd was cut after three seasons in L.A.
The Rams were unable to find a trade partner for him the way they did for Jalen Ramsey, who they sent to the Miami Dolphins. And after a long free agency, Floyd has found his new home, joining another former Rams defensive lineman in the AFC East.
Floyd is joining the Buffalo Bills — and Von Miller — on a one-year contract, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network:

Floyd gives the Bills even more firepower on the edge of their defensive line and makes an already strong defense one of the most physically imposing in the league. The Bills are trying to get over the hump after back-to-back exits in the AFC Divisional Round. Floyd provides a perfect pairing in the late stages of the offseason.
Floyd did not miss a game during his three seasons in L.A., starting in every single game possible over that span (56 games). In fact, Floyd has not missed a game since 2017, his second NFL season with the Chicago Bears.
Floyd was an ideal pairing next to Aaron Donald, and figures to be so again for the Bills. He has had at least nine sacks and 18 quarterback hits in three consecutive seasons and has been one of the game’s most reliable edge rushers despite having never made a Pro Bowl or an All-Pro team.
The Bills now have Floyd, Miller, Ed Oliver, Matt Milano, A.J. Klein, Shaq Lawson and Greg Rousseau as their primary defensive line.
Cobie Durant believes all secondary spots are up for grabs
On the Rams side, L.A. has to figure out exactly who will start at what position defensively. Outside of Donald, the Rams defense is filled with young and unproven players that are looking to make their mark in 2023. One of those players is Cobie Durant.
Durant believes, though, that every spot in the secondary is up for grabs and that it’s just a matter of separating himself during training camp.
