The Los Angeles Rams’ offensive struggles were on full display in a 16-13 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9. L.A. fell to 3-5 on the year and are in jeopardy of missing the postseason, barring a drastic turnaround.

The Rams’ passing game was nonexistent as Matthew Stafford completed only 13 of 27 passes for 165 yards. Cooper Kupp accounted for 127 of those yards with his eight receptions, including a 69-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter.

As for the rushing attack, Darrell Henderson ran for a season-high 56 yards on 12 carries — good for 4.7 yards per attempt. The rest of the Rams’ running back group combined for 12 yards on 12 carries.

After a solid day, Rams head coach Sean McVay is considering giving Henderson more carries as an effort to spark the offense, via Gilbert Manzano of the Southern California News Group:

#Rams coach Sean McVay said it's a "possibility" he gives RB Darrell Henderson more carries moving forward to find a rhythm on the ground. Henderson's season high for carries came in Week 1 with 13. "I thought he did some good things yesterday."

Henderson is in the midst of his fourth season with the Rams after being selected out of Memphis in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

The 25-year-old set a career-high with 688 rushing yards last season but hasn’t been able to build on that due to a lack of opportunities.

In eight games this year (five starts), Henderson has rushed for 253 yards on 62 carries with two touchdowns. He has also caught 16 passes for 91 yards through the air.
