The Los Angeles Rams dropped to 2-2 on the regular season after falling 24-9 to the San Francisco 49ers at Levi’s Stadium during Monday Night Football.
Bobby Wagner led the defense with 10 tackles, but his biggest hit of the night did not appear on the stat sheet.
Shortly before halftime, an animal rights activist ran onto the field carrying a pink flare. After evading a couple of security guards, the man headed towards the Rams bench and was tackled by Wagner, with an assist from Takkarist McKinley, via Cameron Salerno of The Sacramento Bee:

Animal rights group Direct Action Everywhere took responsibility for the demonstration, with the protester trying to raise awareness of ‘Right to Rescue,’ an organization that looks to “help the whistleblowers facing prison time for exposing factory farm abuses and rescuing suffering animals.”
Another fan ran onto the field with a device letting out pink smoke earlier in the game but was stopped by security.
Rams head coach Sean McVay appreciated Wagner for taking care of it so the game could go on.
“Yeah, I heard the reaction because I had seen those guys kind of running out onto the field and Bobby’s got a way of just solving problems. That’s what he does,” McVay said.
The stunt came nearly a month after two other Direct Action Everywhere activists were seen protesting during the Rams’ home opener against the Buffalo Bills.
According to multiple reports, five activists were charged in the latest incident.
