The Los Angeles Rams have clearly shown that they are all-in for a Super Bowl this year, first trading for Von Miller and then signing Odell Beckham Jr.
Many people questioned the Beckham signing considering the Rams already have three very talented receivers in Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods and Van Jefferson.
The Rams have shown time and time again though that if you bring in talented players and get them to buy in, the results will be good and they are hoping that will again be the case with Beckham.
While Beckham was originally believed to be a luxury for this team, things can change in the NFL in an instant and that is what has happened here.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, on the same day that Beckham arrived at the Rams facility, Woods was lost for the season to a torn ACL:
On the same day that the team signed WR Odell Beckham Jr., Rams’ WR Robert Woods tore his ACL at practice Friday, sources tell @diannaESPN and me.

Robert Woods hurt his knee at practice Friday. He went down, got up, finished practice, conducted interviews with the media after, nobody thought anything wrong…and then tests discovered later that he tore his ACL, per sources.

It is an isolated ACL tear for Robert Woods that the team discovered last night, per source.

This is obviously horrible news for the Rams and Woods, who was in the midst of another very solid season. In nine games this season, Woods caught 45 passes for 556 yards with five total touchdowns.
Throughout his nine-year NFL career, Woods has been as durable as they come, never missing more than three games in a season. He has also been a consummate leader both on and off the field in his time with the Rams, so this is a very unfortunate blow for a team with Super Bowl aspirations.
In Woods’ absence, Beckham will now need to step in and be productive right away for L.A. The thought was also that Jefferson would lose snaps after the Beckham acquisition, but that will now obviously not be happening.
While Woods has been lost for the season, there’s no doubt that he will attack his rehab in order to come back even stronger next season.
