SoFi Stadium announced that they are set to open The Equipment Room, which will serve as the official team store of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers starting on Saturday, May 22.
The two-level store will be located on the south side of the teams’ new home in SoFi Stadium. It will feature exclusive items and a unique shopping experience for fans leading up to and through the 2021 NFL season.
SoFi Stadium partnered with well-known sportswear brand Legends to build and operate the new fan shop. The Equipment Room will kick things off with their first collaboration featuring surfboards, skateboards and apparel from artist, Steve Adam.
Managing director of SoFi Stadium and Hollywood Park Jason Gannon spoke on their goal to provide a top-notch experience for fans.
>”The opening of our team store, The Equipment Room, will offer Rams and Chargers fans an early opportunity to experience SoFi Stadium ahead of the season,” said Gannon. “The Equipment Room offers guests a multi-level shopping experience, store-exclusive merchandise, and previews the extraordinary experiences we will offer fans at games.”
The Equipment Room will even have a customization station where fans can personalize their merchandise. Legends executive vice president Bill Wilson assured that the store will have plenty of exclusive items for both Rams and Chargers faithful alike.
“The Equipment Room is a destination for fans to experience the excitement and energy of this world-class stadium,” said Wilson. “The store features a unique selection of products – including limited-run Rams and Chargers items, and special collaborations with local artists – offering a premium shopping experience.”
The shop will also feature products from a number of notable brands such as Nike, New Era Cap, ’47 Brand, Starter, Mitchell & Ness, G III, WinCraft, FOCO and Boelter Brands. It will be open daily and on non-game days through the entrance on level 5, which is adjacent to American Airlines Plaza.
The debut of SoFi Stadium was sullied by the restrictions of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic during the 2020 campaign. Fortunately, it seems this has allowed more time for the new home to beef up its shopping experience with fans set to return.
Both the Rams and Chargers have ushered in new looks in the years following their relocation. Not only that, the league’s decision to loosen their restrictions on jersey numbers means there is plenty of new inventory for fans to get their hands on.
Rams’ players like wide receiver Robert Woods, cornerback Darious Williams and running back Cam Akers are just a few that have wasted no time in making the switch to their old numbers.
