The Los Angeles Rams had an opportunity to bounce back from their disappointing loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday night as they faced a tough divisional opponent in the Seattle Seahawks on the road.
The Rams had a much better overall performance and had a chance to win the game on a field goal attempt by Greg Zuerlein, but he missed it, so Los Angeles fell, 30-29, to drop to 3-2 on the season.
Rams receiver Brandin Cooks was taken out of the game during the fourth quarter after a hard hit on a circus catch. Currently, Cooks is being evaluated for a concussion.
Although it is still early, preliminary signs indicate that Cooks will be entering the NFL’s concussion protocol, via Lindsey Thiry of ESPN:

Cooks was hit on his lone catch of the night. His 29-yard reception was his only gain in yards from scrimmage outside of a 27-yard rush on an end-around.
Despite having a quiet game on Thursday, Cooks has still been a vital part of the Rams offense. As one might expect, he has the third-most receiving yards on the team behind Robert Woods and Cooper Kupp, although all were on pace for more than 1,000 yards going into Week 5.
After coming back from an ACL injury, Kupp has been the clear favorite for quarterback Jared Goff. Kupp put up 388 yards through the first four games, good for second-best in the NFL. Kupp tacked on 117 more yards on nine receptions this week.
Luckily for Cooks and the Rams, they now have 10 days of rest after playing on Thursday Night Football so that gives him some extra time to clear the concussion protocol.
The Rams have a big matchup with the San Francisco 49ers at home in Week 6, so the hope is that they will have Cooks available for that game. If he is unable to go though then Josh Reynolds would see a majority of the time in his place.
