The Los Angeles Rams players have been hard at work this offseason, completing organized team activities and mandatory minicamp this past week as they begin their preparation for the 2019 season.
With minicamp in the rearview mirror now though, the players and coaches will now get some time off before they report for training camp in a couple of months.
It appears some of those players are putting that time off to good use as Rams rookies Boogie Roberts, Greg Gaines and David Long were among those that attended the Los Angeles Dodgers game against the Chicago Cubs at Dodger Stadium on Thursday night.
The Rams signed Roberts as an undrafted free agent out of San Jose State, and judging by this video of him trying to pitch, it looks like he picked the right sport, via the Dodgers official Twitter account:

Long and Gaines both grew up in the Los Angeles area, so Thursday night had to have been special for them. Gaines got a chance to swing the bat and judging by his size and strength, he must have hit some balls pretty far:

Long played his college ball at the University of Michigan, so he has a connection with Dodgers starting pitcher Rich Hill, who also is a Wolverine. The two had a chance to meet and chat it up before the game:

The Rams players ended up seeing a good game as the Dodgers came from behind to earn a 7-3 victory over the Cubs, hitting four home runs in the process.
Both the Rams and Dodgers lost in the Super Bowl and World Series, respectively, a year ago, so both seem to be teams on a mission to return to and win it all for the city of Los Angeles this season.
