This was supposed to be a make or break season for St. Louis Rams QB Sam Bradford. Now its over before it even started, and the Rams must figure out how to pick up the pieces.
According to ESPN’s Chris Mortenson, Bradford will miss the season due to another torn ACL, in the same knee that he injured last season:

Unfortunately, this has been the story of Bradford’s career. He has hardly been evaluated because he has consistently been injured, even before he entered the NFL.
Bradford had to have shoulder surgery during his final year at Oklahoma, ending his season early, but that didn’t matter as he started all 16 games in his rookie season, breaking Peyton Manning’s record for most completions as a rookie.
But Bradford would miss six games in 2011 due to a sever high ankle sprain. Last season, he lasted only seven games before succumbing to a torn ACL, and now he has suffered the same injury to the same knee before this season even started.
Bradford could very well be an excellent quarterback, but injuries continue to derail his career. In his place, Shaun Hill will become the Rams starter with Austin Davis as the backup.
