December 5, 2010
The Oakland Raiders travelled to Qualcomm Stadium to take on their division rivals and improve to .500 on the season. They had already beaten the San Diego Chargers earlier that year and were going for the season sweep.
The offense rushed for 250 yards en route to a 28-13 victory that improved their record to 6-6. Running back Darren McFadden led the way with 97 yards and a touchdown on 19 carries. He was just ahead of Michael Bush, who finished with 95 yards on 23 carries and a score. Even quarterback Jason Campbell added 37 yards and a touchdown to the mix. Campbell also threw for 117 yards and a touchdown to wide receiver Jacoby Ford.
Defensively, the Raiders recorded four sacks and an interception, while holding the Chargers to just 21 yards on the ground. Lamarr Houston, Tommy Kelly, Michael Huff and Kamerion Wimbley all sacked Chargers’ quarterback Phillip Rivers. Huff also added the interception.
That season, the Raiders finished 8-8 and failed to
make the playoffs.
